    [fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]Litter #3
    Name: Dutykit
    Gender: Female
    Age: Four months
    Species: Domestic cat
Appearance: Mostly undecided; fully black with pale tawny eyes.
    Personality: Undeveloped; curious, insecure, responsible.
Other: I would elaborate more but I prefer gradually adding details ingame.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]There's a general section, containing their name, gender, age, parents, sexuality, and group (if any). After that is the appearance section, which is self explanatory, including specifying whether the character has modifications (ex: piercings, wings, etc.), injuries, and how many bodies they have including the appearances of those bodies. Optionally after that you could explain their personality, in depth or generally, though I choose not to include this part. Then the battle section, where you mention their powers (if any), how difficult they are to attack, if the person wishing to attack them is allowed to injure/capture/torture/kill them without permission or at all, how you'd like the other person's post including the attack on them to look/be so you can have an easier time seeing who's attacking your character (ex: attack in red, attack by quoting post), and whether your character initiates and/or finishes fights.

That's the most basic format, if you'd like to use it then feel free.

    [justify][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; line-height: 14px]You could use this one, if you'd like.

    NUMBER IDENITY: 4307
    NICKNAME: Glare
    AGE: fifteen
    GENDER: female

MUTANT POWER: Shapeshifting. This ability is most often activated during bursts of emotion, her most common body being a pitbull which she voluntarily takes the form of in situations of high stress or anger.
PERSONALITY: With a wink and nod to her well deserved nickname, Glare seems to wear a frown and a pair of hateful eyes during most events, the slightest of inconveniences backhanding any chance of a smile from her. While this demeanor was heavily conditioned by her place as a test tube child, she also remains highly easily influenced thanks to her young age and has never been exposed to much optimism in her time. She finds herself a very responsible and a rather serious person due to this all, brain analytical and tactical as she seems to be formulating a plan at most times if not pessimistically dwelling.
APPEARANCE: Glare's skin is unclear, not the smoothest though not distracting regarding blemishes. Her hair is black, while tangled and an unkempt mess, and still falls naturally straight with the tips barely reaching and dangling just above her shoulders. If she isn't seen in a dirty white t-shirt and worn jeans with off white, filthy shoes, then she likely isn't being seen at all. Her nose bridge is elevated and her lips are quite thin, eyes a rough, deadly brown. She has skin that falls somewhere between tan and race-influenced, her fingernails often dirty.

SOMETHING THAT MAKES THEM HAPPY: You tell me. (She quite appreciates animals, especially dogs, and almost cracks a smile around them.)
SOMETHING THAT MAKES THEM ANGRY: Nearly everything. Other people, no matter what they're doing, unless it's helping her.
SOMETHING THAT MAKES THEM NERVOUS: Being threatened by someone stronger than her.
HOPES FOR THE FUTURE: To be free, preferably alone - but free generally.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]I wouldn't recommend it. It's not necessarily that you'll be sent hate or disagreed with, but rather you'll be pressured or guilt tripped into changing your opinions and believing things you aren't completely educated about or sure of. A vocal majority of Tumblr only present one side of an argument, and a lot of the sides it presents are misinformed and/or uneducated but still present themselves as if they're accurate using buzzwords and being surrounded by praise. There's a reason as to why Tumblr is considered a rather cringey community - it has an odd sort of 'social justice warrior' complex, and unfortunately it's easy to get sucked into.

If you decide to actively use Tumblr, I'd personally recommend turning a blind eye to the "political" side of tumblr, as it's heavily biased and feelings based rather than fact based, and to just stick to your own when ranting about politics. I had been using Tumblr very frequently for a full year, and then took a break for a few months - that, and looked at the opposing side of a lot of the views I had adopted in that year, and was surprised at how awfully informed I was. Very toxic indeed.

On the contrary, solely fandom based Tumblrs are usually no hassle at all. When it comes to a casual Tumblr that way, I'd say go ahead, but otherwise it's a place that's difficult to like unless you fit into a few small categories and have very specific opinions.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]Thank you so much for this post. The victim complex they're trying to condition everyone to have is so infuriating. How the hell can you call Tumblr educational in any way, shape, or form when at the end of the day that's all they're doing? Like encouraging black people to tell white people they 'owe us reparations' because of slavery. Funny that they don't tell black people like myself that only 1.4% of white U.S. citizens owned slaves when it was at its peak and 3,000 black people owned 20,000 slaves in 1860. I truly could go on. But, I, myself, a certified black person - I have my card and everything! - am not allowed to make a black joke because that's a "form of self-hate."

Thank you, Tumblr, for saving us from ourselves.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]But who genuinely jokes about gay people being killed? That's an entirely different thing. That's more like making fun of something tragic - there's a difference between joking about a thing and ridiculing it. It's also dangerous to shield yourself from every hint of an upsetting thing because it's proven to sensitize the person more to it, making it an even bigger weapon, and having everyone cover my ears and eyes at every mention of something awful that happened to me or to another prevented me from coping in any way and did more harm than good. I'm pretty sure this sort of situation is what we were referring to, not that people should just 'get over' someone making fun of a death or something of the sort.

Given that I have actual triggers than could send me into a blind rage or a hysterical sobbing fit, I kind of appreciate it when nobody tiptoes around me or feels like they have to treat me extra carefully. One of the big ways I cope with my triggers is by making jokes about it, and it's gradually becoming harder and harder to feel like a precious snowflake when the particular topics are brought up in a way that can be considered insensitive but are actually just humorous or less than serious. We weren't condoning people ridiculing, sneering at, or making fun of awful things or people who have experienced them. That's just abuse.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]That's an example of abuse. They aren't joking, they're sneering. I understand you. I personally think people should be 'allowed', so to speak, to joke about anything so long as it isn't in an abusive way, like I said, regardless of if they've experienced it. I'd hate to think certain types of jokes can only be reserved to people who had been or are experiencing those things. You can shelter yourself from the event itself, I meant little doses of it that slowly help you build up to being able to face the thing and be done with having such a thin wall against it. Don't torture yourself either way, whether it be by standing in the middle of the fire or by hiding underwater to escape it.

By jokes, I'm not referring to "haha shootings are so funny" "dude that's messed up", I'm referring to "what does kkk stand for? kool kidz klub!" "oh my god you racist! i'll have you know that ...!" Or at least jokes less lame than that. Having a sense of humor isn't making fun of a victim or whatnot, like I said, it's just not wallowing in self pity by lashing out at everyone who tries to make light of a bad situation.

[justify]Dont remember if this was mentioned or not but saying "credit to artist" or "art isn't mine" doesn't count and is lazy. I see that one way too much and it's pretty annoying

[fancypost borderwidth=0px][justify]Dittoing this. "Credit to the original artist" is not credit.
